For more than a decade, JD Building Solutions has been solving building challenges. Where some general building contractors specialise in only crafting new homes, Jason Donaldson (director and owner and the ’JD’ in the company name) instead prefers to work on existing Canterbury homes.
“From small repairs to large renovations and extensions, we get a kick out of returning a home to its former glory,” Jason explains. And they are good at it, as highlighted by their continued accreditation as an insurance repair specialist.
“It all started with one EQC repair in rural North Canterbury,” remembers Jason. “The homeowner was delighted with our work, the insurance adjustor was impressed with our processes, and it’s simply grown from there.”
You could describe Jason as a ‘professional builder.’ He is both trade-certified and a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP), which means he has been assessed to carry out building work essential to the structure and weather tightness of residential buildings. Plus, he is a member of the New Zealand Master Builders Association.
